Saint George Solo Dance Competition. She takes 1st Place!

Jordan and her cousin Madison

Jordan and her good friend Olivia. They took first and second.
Phew! Another year passed and the competitions are over. Saint George was great. It is always a little vacation for us. We take all the kids to the warm weather and go swimming when we can. This year Jordan did a jazz solo and took 1st place. She did great and we are so proud of her.

Jackson with his bag of goodies

Sage and her Easter egg

If you thought Jackson was bad with Santa, you should have seen how scared he was of an overgrown bunny!
Getting ready for the big event!

Can't believe I was able to get him to smile. What a cutie! Totally looks like an Ivory.

Justin's Easter eggs

Jackson's eggs with a little help from dad.
Jordan's glittery eggs

Micheal's batch of eggs

My attempt at creating something cute.
Easter went over without a hitch. It was cold and even snowing when we left for the Nephi Easter Egg Hunt, but all turned out well in the end. I think it brings out the creative side for us and the kids to try and come up with something different for the eggs. Remember I am a math person, not artistic. Writing a cute A.I. + J.I. is pretty impressive for me. I did make it glittery too. Do I get extra points for that?

Don't call child welfare services on us!

Jerime was teaching Justin how to shave for the first time. He managed to only get the one cut, but it was a bleeder. Oh how quickly they grow up!

Spanish Fork Team Competition

Jordan and her friend Olivia Hansen.
They took 1st place on their pirate routine. The group also took 1st on their hip-hop dance.

The girls took 4th place on their jazz routine.
This was at the Spanish Fork Dance Competition this past March. We have the Saint George Competition comingup Aptil 17th and 18th.

Trip back to South Carolina

Yates and Nancy

Me, Dad and Heather at the cemetery where my grandfather is buried and their church in Winnsboro, SC behind us.

Dad and Aunt Nancy

I made an emergency trip back to Columbia, South Carolina as my grandmother was passing away. I arrived in SC at 4 on Friday, March 20 and went straight to Oma's apartment. We were able to spend time with her. She was not able to communicate and only opened her eyes for a brief second, but I knew she knew we were there. She ended up passing away at 3:15 am that next morning. I left on Monday and the funeral was Tuesday, but I am glad I was there before she passed. We helped clean out her apartment, type an obituary and even got her cat out of the apartment. So many things to talk about, but it was great seeing family and finding out more about my grandparents than I ever thought I knew. Such passionate wonderful people. I have the privilege of scanning in all the letters and pictures she saved. She saved every letter, card, article. Everything! Letters from my grandfather to her before they were married and from WW2 and Korea. Such a great love story. A huge task, but one that is worth it!

Micheal in the NBA in 2017

Micheal just finished his basketball season. He did really great and is a really good three point shooter. He and Justin practice downstairs in the basement with laundry baskets. It's not as if we do not have a basketball hoop, it is just covered with snow.
